    DOS/Win3.x Software
    There are times where a plain old dos box is called for.  The software in this directory are specifically for the old crusty folk that just can't live without the ancient curse of Gates.  Some AX.25 and NOS apps work quite well under DOS, even allowing TCP/IP acces to the wireless network.  There are also DOS versions of the flex/net applications.

    Flex/Net folks: It is unadvisable to run these apps under Win 3.1.  They work well under straight DOS or Win95.  There are applications that directly access the Flex/Net hooks loaded into DOS.  For the straight dope on Flex/net from the source, go to: http://www.afthd.tu-darmstadt.de/~flexnet/index.html

    Use lha255e.exe to uncompress the packages in this archive.  You will also need lzhutils.lha.

    ETHRAX25 is a modified version of the ETHERSL packet driver from the Crynwr collection. It provides an Ethernet (Class 1) interface to the application, and produces AX.25 UI frames, encapsulated in KISS on a serial  port. (Actual Archive lives here)
